Headless
Charlie
l
Hailing
from one of America's most haunted towns - Jerome Arizona, comes the
hard rock sensation known as Headless
Charlie, which took
their name from the legendary local
ghost story of a decapitated miner. Formed in
2003, this group offers
a unique mix of hard
rock, metal and progressive rock elements. Headless
Charlie features an
incredible lineup of talented rockers, with Keith Martin on vocals, Roy
Sandoval and Jeff Icard on guitars, and Steve Botterweg on bass.
Headless
Charlie
was founded by veteran musician and producer Steve Botterweg, who has shared the
stage and studio with acts such as the
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Social Distortion, Agnostic Front, Agent Orange, Blue Oyster Cult, and Fishbone among others. Botterweg is
also a member of the legendary Arizona rock group Major Lingo, in which he replaced Tim Alexander who left to join Primus.
Headless
Charlie
began to perform to massive crowds around the
southwest, after the buzz broke about their incredible sound and
eclectic stage performance. From 2008-2009, the group went into the
studio to
produce Reconnect,
a hard rock album like no other. Featuring traxx that broke the
boundaries of progressive metal, such as Praying
Mantis, The
Edge and
under the radar radio favorite Forever.
Vocalist
Keith Martin delivers an
incredible stage show. Botterweg and Icard rock the stage.
Headless
Charlie
signed a deal with DSN Music
in 2009, which will offer the group a national and global platform for
their 2010 release Reconnect.
The first single The
Edge, features a music video,
which was filmed on location in
the abandoned auditorium of the old Jerome High School. The new single
has earned radio play at rock stations across the country. After
several lineup changes in early 2011, the group disbanded. In 2012
the group was featured on the compilation
release Soundtrack
to the End Times.
